Why buy this if templates and AI chats are free?
Free tools can be enough if you already have a workflow you like. CareerKit is for people who want resume designs, editing and exports, interview frameworks and application tracking together. You are paying for the organised toolkit and its workflow, not exclusive career information or an AI subscription.
Is it suitable if I have little work experience?
You can use education, coursework, personal projects, internships and volunteering to describe what you have done. The templates give that evidence a structure. They do not create experience or qualifications for you.
Does CareerKit write everything with AI?
No. The current tools use structured templates, writing checks and matching rules. Interview prompts can be copied into your own AI chat. No AI subscription or in-app generative AI service is included.
Where is my work saved?
Resume drafts and application records are saved in the browser on your device. There is no cloud sync in the current app. Keep editable backups before clearing browser data or switching devices. Exporting documents sends content to the server for file generation; shared links store the resume snapshot you choose to share.
Can I track whether a recruiter read my resume?
CareerKit records activity on its shared resume links. An open session does not prove who viewed it or whether they read it. Ordinary PDF attachments cannot be tracked this way.
Will this guarantee a job or an ATS score?
No. CareerKit supports preparation and organisation. It does not guarantee interviews, jobs, recruiter responses or ATS compatibility. Use accurate information, review your output and follow each employer’s instructions.

Read the job description. Highlight requirements you can support with your actual experience, projects or education.

Replace a duty with evidence
Use: “I did [specific action] for [project or context], resulting in [verifiable outcome].” Leave out any result you cannot support.

Check the exported file
Open the PDF, select and copy its text, check page breaks, and test your contact links before sending.
